Why Choose An

In-Home Provider?

There are many reasons why parents choose family childcare over a large daycare center. Here are just a few, in no particular order:

  • Environment: The familiar home-based childcare environment provides an easy transition from a child's own home to daycare. Instead of an institutional “school” type of setting, children can spend their day in the warmth and comfort of their own home.

  • Attachment: Family childcare programs are traditionally run by a single provider who cares for each child from infancy through school-age. Children in daycare centers are often cared for by several different providers and often experience a lack of consistency due to high turnover rates.

  • Mixed Ages: Children in family childcare benefit from learning in a mixed-age group. Siblings can be together all day, while children without siblings can experience the joys of having other children around during scheduled outings and field trips.

  • Small Group Size: Family childcare providers generally care for small groups of children, which provides a calmer atmosphere and allows each child to receive more individualized attention from their provider. In addition, smaller group sizes decrease potential exposure to germs and illnesses.

  • Convenience: Although quality care is worth driving across town for, many parents find good family providers near their own home. Some family childcare providers offer flexible scheduling options, like before and after typical business hours, second or third shift care, overnight care, and weekends.

  • Support: Family childcare providers can be a great source of support for the families of the children they care for. Many families find that their in-home provider becomes like extended family over the years.

  Hello From The Nanny Extraordinaire!

. . . . Where you will find Quality Childcare for Children of all Ages. Reliable care, in the comfort of your home or mine. Available when you need it!

I decided to start my home childcare business after the birth of my second child. I went through many providers and discovered that it was hard to find a good one. They were either unreliable, not well trained, or had too many children in their care. I decided that I wanted to be that great provider that I wanted for my daughters, one that other parents could count on to care for their children. So now I am happily providing daycare services for other parents in my community. When I first started 10 years ago, I was providing childcare in my own home, to allow me the opportunity to stay home and raise my daughters. Now that my own children are in school, I am able to provide other parents the luxury of having their provider come to them, and allowing their kids to stay home and follow their own routines.

As a daycare provider, I continue the parent's role of caregiver, nurturer, comforter, and first teacher. I plan meals, fun times, schedules, and learning. I organize your child's activities and I will appreciate your family values. I have a laid-back personality and the children enjoy the time they spend with me. I keep in touch with many of my past daycare clients and I have enjoyed watching their children learn and grow. I am a professional and you can rely on me to provide your child with an educational and uplifting experience. Working together with you as a team, we can provide the best level of care for your child. As a parent myself, I recognize the demands life places on parents and I strive to make life easier by giving you the knowledge that your children are in good hands!

My Childcare Philosophy:

I believe that the first years of a child's life are the most important,

helping to lay the foundation for future intellectual and emotional development. Through nurturing and individual attention, I take great care to provide a warm, friendly, and fun environment for your child; while also ensuring they receive the guidance and structure they need. I strive to nurture your child's ideas and imagination, acknowledge each child's individuality, and validate each little personality. My goal is to provide a place where children know that they are accepted, loved, protected, and wanted; helping to instill in each child a strong sense of self-worth and purpose. My job is to make sure that each child has numerous positive experiences and interactions throughout their day. My goal is that when the day is done the children will be happy, and eager to express the activities of their day to you.

Each and every day I feel privileged to have the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of a child, to join in their laughter, and to be included in their games. This is how I have chosen to spend my days. I am a very tolerant individual with a lot of patience. This, coupled with my love for children, helps me be a nurturing childcare provider. Having children of my own, I understand how difficult it is to leave your child in someone else's care. Because of this, I can appreciate the trust you must put in me on a daily basis. My goal is to build your trust by being professional, dependable, honest, and most importantly by caring for your child the way I would want my own children cared for. I view my profession as a career, not just a job. Therefore, I look forward to keeping your children happy and safe for many years to come!

I feel that good communication between parent and provider is very important. Because of this, I am committed to creating a strong bond with you and your child, helping to ensure the best start to your child's day. My hope is that you feel completely confident and reassured when you leave your child in my care. Each child is different, unique, and special, and will be treated as such. These carefree years are far too short. I do not rush children through this fun-filled time in their lives. Rather, each child is encouraged to develop and grow at their own pace. I understand that you are trusting me to care for your child and I take this responsibility very seriously. I look forward to the opportunity to care for your child, while being a positive influence in their life.

I provide a routine that is flexible, yet structured, to ensure the children are happy and safe. Through sensitivity and understanding, I teach each child in my care to use manners, kindness, and to be respectful towards others. When a child displays inappropriate behavior, he or she is encouraged to make amends through a sincere apology; all in a sustained effort to help teach children the basic understanding of right from wrong. Additionally, sharing, taking turns, problem solving, and teamwork are stressed with equal importance, so that the children can learn to play harmoniously with one another; helping to lay the foundation for all social interactions to come later in life.
